Exemption from Matriculation Components

You can be exempted from assessment if:

• You have attended another college and have taken English and math and can provide a transcript as proof. 

• You have an Associate degree or higher.                                                                      

• You have completed the Matriculation components at another institution and can provide proof.

• You are planning to take one or two courses for personal Enrichment (not English or math). 

• You are enrolling in fewer than 6.0 units of license renewal courses only.

You can be exempted from Orientation if:

• You have completed at least 15 units of college course work at another institution and with to waive my right to participate in the orientation and/or counseling components of matriculation.

You can get the Exemption from Matriculation Component form from Admissions and Records (SSC-115) or from the Counseling office (SSC-108).

Although you wish to be exempted from the Matriculation components(s) above, you may still seek advisement from a counselor or advisor.
