EOPS/CARE SUMMER ACADEMY
The EOPS/CARE Summer Academy is sponsored and administered by the Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS). EOPS/CARE is a state-funded support program that assists low-income and educationally disadvantaged students in pursing and achieving their educational and career goals.
PURPOSE
- The purpose of this academy is to assist high school seniors and re-entry students transition into higher education. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for college level academic studies. Contents of some of the courses will include basic English and Math skills, and self-development for college success. Counseling services and a fieldtrip will be provided.
GRADUATION
- The EOPS/CARE Summer Academy graduation will be held at the end of the term. Students will be allowed to invite their families to witness their achievements and enjoy the festive celebration. Refreshments will be served.
