Mission Statement
The mission of Disabled Students' Programs and Services (DSP&S) at Contra Costa College is to provide support services, specialized instruction, and educational accommodations to students with disabilities so that they can participate as fully and benefit as equitably from the college experience as their non-disabled peers.
 

DSPS offers the following Academic and Support Services

    • Registration assistance, and priority registration for eligible students
    • Academic, and vocational counseling
    • Educational planning
    • Sign language interpreters/Closed Caption 
    • Note-taker services for eligible students
    • Equipment loans
    • Reader services/prerecorded services for qualified students
    • CCTV's available on campus
    • Testing accommodations
    • Specialized instruction designed for students with learning disabilities
    • Adaptive computer technology
    • Wireless microphone transmitter/ receivers for students who have hearing impairments
    • Van Mobility assistance on campus
    • On-campus transportation
    • Referral to on/off campus support services and agencies
    • Parking for students with temporary disability

Writing Strategies, Grammar Rules - Instruction in writing sentences, paragraphs, essays. Preparation for Reading 92/English 110 a/b, English 142a. Appropriate for any DSPS Student except DDL

Math Strategies - General Math: for students with a learning disability in math. Assistance with basic math and math strategies or general math classess.

FEE BASED CLASS

LIFE SKILLS 101 Section 0201-TTH 11:00-12:30 pm CTC 112 (Kusaba)

Teaches Transition Students how to succeed in the real world through learning new skills and resources that will improve their knowledge of everyday processes. They will learn applied math in ways that will spark interest and improve social involvement.
